ECA provides overnight respite and day-only respite services for persons with multiple and complex disabilities. Under the NDIS, these services are charged as ‘short term accommodation’ and ‘access to community participation’.
ECA completes an intake interviews and assessment of all interested families to ensure there is a ‘best fit’ for the client, their family, and the current clients accessing our services.
There are no catchment restrictions for where families live, however, drop off and pick up services are limited for those families who live outside the immediate surrounding suburbs.
With the introduction of NDIS, parents and caregivers should have their plans completed prior to commencing services with ECA. ECA can assist parents to request NDIS plan amendments.
